On behalf of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), a specialized agency of the United Nations Organization in the field of tourism, I am pleased to welcome all the participants, guests and organizers of the 11th Kazakhstan International Tourism Exhibition Astana Leisure 2014.
Traditionally, the event is held in the most rapidly developing metropolis, the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan – the City of Astana.
For the UNWTO organization Kazakhstan has always been and remains a reliable partner and a leader of tourism in Central Asia, and Tourism Exhibition in Astana is a business platform for collaboration between the professionals of the international and local markets.
Development of the tourism industry in Kazakhstan is in the focus of the government, because it plays a significant role in the economy of the country and even of the whole region of Central Asian. Therefore, the exhibitions of the sector are very dynamic and evolving rapidly. On the eve of the World Exhibition in Astana – EXPO 2017 – conducting of the tourism exhibition is becoming increasingly important.
Astana Leisure is productively used as a platform for sales and marketing and is one of the centres of the tourism sector in Kazakhstan, where communication is established, tourist products are sold and business is conducted.
