THE EXHIBITION ASTANA LEISURE 2014: ACCENTS ARE SET ON

September 24-26, on the eve of World Tourism Day in the capital’s exhibition center Korme the 11th Kazakhstan International Tourism Exhibition – Astana Leisure 2014 will be held.

The selection of a date for World Tourism Day, which is celebrated on September 27, is not accidental. Precisely in this time the season in the northern hemisphere ends and it begins in the southern hemisphere, and millions of people around the world are planning their holidays.

Popularization of tourism, coverage of its contribution to the economy of the world community, the development of relations between the peoples of different countries are the main purposes of the event, which are fully shared by the exhibition organizers, Iteca LLP (ТОО), supported by the Ministry of Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

According to the Minister of Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Aset Isekeshev: “Tourism in Kazakhstan as well as in the world in total becomes a priority direction of socio-economic development of the country. The Head of the State N.A. Nazarbayev singled out a sector of the tourism industry in a separate cluster and defined it as one of the economic priorities. Development of tourism in regions solves many social and economic issues, providing quality job places and contributing to the development of infrastructure at the local level”

The Exhibition Astana Leisure 2014 will present more than 90 companies from 19 countries, including tour operators, travel agencies, health resorts, and boarding houses which develop various types of tourism – from ecological to the extreme one, as well as hotel networks and air carriers.

National stands will be from 10 countries, such as Hungary, Vietnam, the Dominican Republic, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Malaysia, the Republic of Maldives, Russia, Thailand, Turkey, Switzerland and South Korea.

This year the Exhibition Astana Leisure focuses on the current issues in the sphere of air communication; domestic and foreign companies will present alternative regular and charter flights.

The traditional section “Medical tourism” will present the process of medical treatment abroad: from advice on choosing a clinic to obtaining a visa and a pleasant journey. This format allows visual demonstrating and effective presenting services for diagnostics, treatment and rehabilitation in health care establishment, not only to the end users, but also to potential agents, which in the future will sell the product on the market. Among the announced participants are clinics, travel agencies and health resorts from Kazakhstan, Germany, Greece and South Korea.

Another focus of the Exhibition is put on business tourism – industry of meetings (MICE). This section will feature business trips (assignments) of businessmen and entrepreneurs, congress, exhibition and intensive tourism, conduct of own events.

Within the framework of the business program of Astana Leisure 2014 the organizers plan seminars and presentations for industry professionals from leading players in the tourism market, as well as a round table with representatives of embassies and consulates on topical issues of the upcoming tourist season.

The organizers of the Exhibition Astana Leisure 2014 are the Exhibition Company Iteca (Kazakhstan) and ITE Group Plc (Great Britain). An official support for the event is provided by the Ministry of Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and the city administration of Astana (akimat).
